Super Bowl XLV
We are watching the Super Bowl live via satellite with about 100 other people at our hotel, including alot of US military personnel. They have a giant ballroom setup with a buffet breakfast and giant video screens. Too fun. Bummer though, the commercials don't get broadcast. Great game so far!
At the party we met a cool Navy officer who knows my cousin Abby and her husband Eric from the Naval Academy, and from when Eric was an officer on a nuclear sub. Small world. He gave each of my kid's a small brass medal which is pretty cool. He is the one in blue-ish fatigues next to the cheesehead guy. Thanks to Officer Staub and all of the other dedicated Americans living abroad serving in our military.
