U2 in the Mile High City

U2 was supposed to come to Denver on their U2 360 tour June 2010.  Bono ended up in the hospital and they could not come, the show rescheduled for 2011.  Last night to be exact.  We had wanted to go, but could not get tickets. With the year wait it was literally kinda double sold out. Long story short, we were doing Olivia's birthday as a family yesterday and in the AM some friends of ours (who incidentally are going to China with ELIC! Little Family in Big China) had four tickets and couldn't go, sold us their tickets. The kids were so excited.

To put icing on the proverbial cake, as we were making our way to the seats high up in the mile high stadium, a guest relations director came by and asked us if we wanted to sit in row 1 of the upper deck instead of the top of the upper deck.  We told him of course we did- and that it was Olivia's birthday.  He was a really nice in charge of the stadium type of guy in dress clothes, and said to make sure we were at our seats around 8PM, he might have another seat upgrade.  After our own hometown band The Fray (cool history on The Fray here) opened, and finished- the guy did come back and took all four of us down to the 5th row on the main floor! It was really cool. The Lord was just blessing Olivia and giving her the desire of her heart on her birthday.  Thanks to our friends who sold us the tickets and the really cool Invesco Field Guest Relations staff! Epic. Fun night, great concert.
