Monday Milestone
My 11 year old son Quinn flew by himself today, Denver-Grand Rapids. Used his own miles, he'll attend the Cornerstone U basketball camp in GR with his cousin Bennett. Thanks for hosting him Rod and Lib, and thanks for the gift of the camp Nana and Papa! And way to go Quinn, who used his own miles and his own Premier status with United to make the trip. He's getting to be a bigger kid!
After I walked him to the gate (and snapped this cool photo:), I came home and planted a bunch of ground cover in some landscaping near our front walkway. I planted a bunch of miniature little fern looking thingys called Brass Button's. It's a creeper, and grows only about an inch or two above the ground. Kinda cool looking. Completely covers the ground thickly. In fact, it said it has a very high tolerance to foot traffic(!) which is kinda cool.
And then I cooked out with the family. We made some stuffed jalapeño's, roasted rosemary potatoes, corn on the cob, and burgers on the grill.
Pedestrian, yes- but a good Monday all the same! Fun, family, food, 85° no humidity, no clouds- had to post it :)
