The stockings were hung from the chimney with care...in the hopes that St. Nick soon would be there!
Silas and Lily in the Christmas spirit :)A fun Christmas Eve day including the traditional movie expedition (The Muppets) and lots of family fun times, food, relaxing with coffee, hanging out and enjoying the Arizona sunshine.
En route from Fort Collins, CO to Phoenix, AZ for Christmas with Joy's family. Left at 4:30AM, beautiful morning crossing the New Mexico state line :)
Thanksgiving with friends was wonderful. Three families from Chicago made the trip west, and we made the quick drive from Fort Collins to join our friends for the holiday festivities. There were twenty four of us in total including kids (8 adults, 16 kids). We made for quite a group! Although it's early season, there was plenty of snow for us to have a blast skiing, especially the kids. The Ritz Bachelor Gulch is an amazing property, it has to be one of my all time favorites. We were thankful to be staying there through the generosity and connections of one of the families. The Bachelor Gulch lift is right outside your door and the ski valet makes it fun and simple to hop on the boards and hit the slopes of Beaver Creek. Silas and Lily had their first ski experience- a full day lesson and then 3 days of skiing with us on some nice cruising runs. Our little grommets were stellar. Despite some early trepidation, they were soon bombing the hill and Silas was looking for "off road" skiing opportunities (anything ungroomed and bumpy). Here are a few pictures and a short video.

We arrived last night to the amazing and beautiful Ritz Bachelor Gulch. Opening day at Beaver Creek! We are here for Thanksgiving with friends.
I arrive in Kansas City and am greeted by low opaque grey winter clouds, having left behind the sunny blue skies of Colorado. A dinner here with friends tonight and then back home early tomorrow morning.
Saturday means dry cleaners, grocery shopping, haircuts, and College Football- Michigan Football to be exact- and a yummy "M" Go Blue! cake my daughter Olivia made :) We all had a piece at halftime, and it was delicious.
We had a great trip, about 80 people came with us on the trip from the USA to meet our staff and partners in China. Amazing times of fellowship and fun- always new awareness of the work of the Spirit. I'm posting a few fun pics of the official deal, and in a couple days I may post some more pics of frivolity :) Assorted pictures in this group are some great friends who live in China, some pictures of official meetings at our Beijing HQ, at the banquet, etc. Lastly a shot of the Great Wall, what a great picture taken by my friend Jeam Wong. It was a beautiful day. Jeam took some amazing pictures on this trip!
